Jute ist die Faser, die keine Erklärung braucht: Die grobe, unregelmäßige Struktur sagt auf den ersten Blick, dass hier kein Kunststoff verarbeitet wurde. Die Pflanze wächst schnell nach, braucht wenig Pflanzenschutz und ist nach Baumwolle die meistproduzierte Naturfaser der Welt. Für Marken mit ökologischer Botschaft ist Jute deshalb weniger eine Material- als eine Kommunikationsentscheidung.
