We have developed a backpack for Kaufland based on our own design: a roll-top style with a flap, four buckles on the sides, a separate zipped pocket at the front and padded straps. It is not a catalogue model with a printed logo, but a product of our own design.
The logo is screen-printed onto the front: opaque red on black rPET polyester, perfectly registered, as the printing is applied to the flat fabric before assembly.
With a run of 1,700 units and within this price range, the Far East was the right choice for production. We oversee such orders from the prototype stage right through to final inspection, regardless of whether production takes place at our main factory in Poland or at a certified partner site in Asia. We’re open about which approach is best: for small runs and tight deadlines, it’s the EU; for large quantities, it may well be the Far East.
